Our campus is located on the grounds of City on a Hill and provides spacious classrooms, dormitories, library, chapel, and ample parking. The Urban Bible College facilities were fully renovated in 2001. The location of the college provides access to public transportation and employment opportunities.
City on a Hill operates a variety of ministries and houses a wide range of other faith-based and non-profit agencies, all focused on serving the central city. The campus provides many opportunities to learn and engage in urban ministry.
Center for Success
The Center for Success is the campus resource center. Here students will find computers for accessing the web and Microsoft products, a copy machine, a printer, student and faculty mailboxes, the Form Center and a news bulletin board.
Library
Students can search the library collection of over 4000 volumes through the Patron Search program located on the library computers. The internet provides access to information on local library resources. Urban Bible College is located near other libraries and universities. Library acquisitions are a high priority in the development of Urban Bible College .
At present, the college is working with an honor system. Students fill out the book card and may keep the book for three weeks. Notices will be sent out at the end of each semester for books not returned, and overdue library fees will be assessed from that point at 25 cents per day per book to a maximum of $10.00. If the book is not returned at all, the student will be charged for the cost of replacing the book in addition to the fines incurred. The per day fine stops accumulating when the student informs the librarian that the book is lost.
The library is open from 10 a.m. - 10 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday and 10 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
If students need to access the library at other hours, they can contact the Academic Dean to enter the library. The UBC library is a part of the
Library Council of Southeastern Wisconsin. As a member, UBC students should check the resources of the college library for materials they need for research. If they cannot find what they are looking for, they may locate the book at another member library. Students should then contact the Academic Dean to obtain an "Info Pass." This will allow the student to go to the other library (this is not an interlibrary loan system) and check the book out according to the lending library's policy. Students then return the book to the lending library, not to the UBC library. A list of relevant member libraries accepting the "Info Pass" is posted in the Center for Success.
